Fashion Blog Names: Ideas and Examples

Do you need help coming up with fashion blog names?

If you are planning to start a fashion blog, one of the first things you will want to come up with is a name. The name you choose is very important, because it is the first impression that your blog gives off to the world.

It’s also important to choose a good blog name from the start, because it can be a huge hassle to change your name later on once you’ve started blogging.

Not sure what to call your fashion blog?

That’s why I put together this ultimate guide to help you!

I have included plenty of tips for choosing a fashion blog name, as well as real-life examples of fashion blog names to give you some ideas.

Domain Name Availability Checker

When coming up with a blog name, you will want to make sure that the domain name (the .com version of the name) is not already registered.

When you start your blog with Bluehost you will get a FREE domain name, saving you $15 to $20. So how can you see if the name you want is available?

After you click “Get Started” on this page and select the $2.95 a month plan (this is the cheapest plan and the one I recommend) you will be able to put in your intended domain name to see if it’s available to register or not.

If you haven’t decided on a blog name yet, you can skip this step and get a credit to come back later to choose your domain name within 30 days.

For a step-by-step guide to registering your domain name and setting up web hosting for your blog, read my guide on how to start a fashion blog.

How Do I Choose a Fashion Blog Name?

Are you wondering how to choose a fashion blog name?

As I mentioned, picking a good name that you like is important, because it’s hard to change your domain name later on. You want to make sure you choose a blog name that is professional and reflects your blog well.

1. Use your own name.

One of the easiest ways to choose a blog name is to use your first and last name.

For fashion bloggers, many of whom rely on building a strong personal brand and being social media influences as well, this is a smart naming idea.

If you don’t necessarily want to be the face of your blog, however, then you may not want to use your full name for your fashion blog name.

2. Use a variation of your name.

Another way to come up with fashion blog names is to use a variation of your first name. This still gives your blog name a personal touch.

For a fashion blogger, you could do something like:

  • What Emma Wore
  • Charlotte’s Closet
  • Style by Katherine

This is a good option if you don’t want to use your full name, but still want to incorporate your identity into the name of your blog. It also lets readers know that your blog is about fashion just from seeing the name.

3. Describe your niche.

If you are going to focus on a specific niche within fashion, such as plus size fashion, sustainable fashion, affordable fashion, fashion for women over 50, luxury fashion, or vintage fashion, you can incorporate that into your blog name to let people know exactly what your blog is about.

Here are some niche-specific fashion blog names:

  • Curvy Girl’s Closet
  • Fashion Over 50
  • Stylish on a Budget
  • The Designer Diva

All of these names immediately tell you what the blog is about.

4. Add modifying words.

A common issue that can come up when brainstorming a blog name is that the name you want is already taken. So what can you do then?

As I mentioned before, I still recommend using a .com domain name. So if the name you want is taken as a .com, don’t register the .net ending instead. You also want to avoid adding hyphens, numbers, or misspelled words to your name.

One of the best strategies is simply adding modifying words to the name you want. For example, let’s say the name you want is “Fashion Diary” but it’s taken.

You could potentially add modifying words like…

  • The Fashion Diary
  • My Fashion Diary
  • Her Fashion Diary
  • Fashion Diary Daily

Keep trying until you find a combination that is available!

Registering Your Blog Name

Once you have decided on a name for your fashion blog, you will need to register your domain name so you can get your blog started.

I have a detailed guide on how to start a fashion blog that goes more in depth on what to do, but the process is actually very simple!

You just need to purchase your domain name and web hosting.

I recommend Bluehost for all new bloggers because they actually give you a FREE domain name (saving you $15+) and offer web hosting for just $2.95 a month. (This is the lowest possible price that you can start a blog for!)

Bluehost is also the ONLY web hosting company I know of that allows you to go ahead and start your blog without choosing a name yet.

Just select “I’ll create my domain later” after you sign up here.

So if you need some extra time to decide on your blog name, you can go ahead and get your blog started now, and then Bluehost will give you a credit you can choose to come back and choose your domain name within 30 days.
