Side Hustles for Introverts

Best Side Hustles for Introverts

Are you looking for the best side hustles for introverts?

A lot of side hustles that you hear about, such as driving for rideshare apps, working for food delivery apps, or selling things at yard sales and flea markets, require you to have a lot of face-to-face interaction with people.

As an introvert, this can be very draining!

Meanwhile, many online side hustles (such as taking online surveys) only pay a couple of dollars and aren’t actually worth your time.

If you’re looking for the BEST online side hustles that are perfect for introverts, I’ve got you covered with this post. As an introvert myself, these are all things that I have personally tried and earned money from over the years.

Here are the best side hustles for introverts:

1. Blogging

How could I write this list without including blogging?

Blogging is my number one side hustle recommendation, and it is an especially great option for introverts. I even wrote an entire blog post explaining why blogging is the perfect job for introverts.

The gist of it is that as a blogger you…

  • Don’t have to interact with or work with anybody else
  • Can work from the comfort of your own home
  • Get to express yourself creatively through writing
  • Can even blog anonymously if you want to maintain privacy

If there is something you are passionate about and you enjoy writing, blogging is an excellent way to make money doing something you love.

2. Pinterest Virtual Assistant

This is another great side hustle for introverts that I have personally done.

The job of a Pinterest virtual assistant is to manage the Pinterest accounts of your clients. Typical clients are bloggers, online business owners, or traditional brick-and-mortar business owners looking to expand their online presence.

As a Pinterest virtual assistant, your tasks might include:

  • Creating Pinterest graphics using a program like Canva
  • Uploading pins and writing pin titles and descriptions in Pinterest
  • Scheduling pins either manually or with a scheduling tool
  • Creating boards, following accounts, and repinning other pins
  • Presenting monthly growth analytics to your client

What makes this job great for introverts is that it requires minimal interaction with other people and you get to work from home in your PJs if you want!

I personally did this for a year and a half, and working with just one client for a few hours a week, I was able to earn an extra $600 a month!

3. Affiliate Marketing

This is related to the first idea on this list, blogging, but affiliate marketing is something you can also do without a blog as a side hustle.

With a blog, the way affiliate marketing works is that you can use affiliate links for products you mention in your blog posts, and then earn a commission every time someone makes a purchase after clicking your affiliate link.

However, even without a blog, it’s possible to make affiliate sales. You can use affiliate links on social media such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or Pinterest.

My preference is affiliate marketing on Pinterest and I have been able to earn $500+ a month just from pinning affiliate links on Pinterest!

If you enjoy using Pinterest, this can be a great way to get paid to pin. If you have an audience on another social media platform such as Instagram already, you might enjoy doing affiliate marketing there as well.

4. Self-Publishing

If you are passionate about writing, you can make quite a bit of money from self-publishing ebooks! And even if you don’t like to write, you can make money publishing “low content” products such as journals and planners.

There are a couple routes you can go with this: self-publishing on Amazon through Kindle Direct Publishing, or self-publishing on your own blog/website.

I have personally written several ebooks that I earn thousands a month from completely passively, and I sell them on my blog because I have more control over them and can sell them for a higher price. With Amazon, you usually can’t sell your ebooks for as high of a price, and Amazon takes a cut.

This is why I recommend using your own blog and a simple ecommerce platform like SendOwl to sell your ebooks for greater profit instead!

5. Freelance Writer

Another writing-related side hustle is freelance writing.

I don’t have as much experience with this side hustle as I do with the other ideas on this list, but I have done a few freelance writing gigs and they have been a lot of fun. Why is freelance writing great for introverts?

Well, for one thing, you don’t have to work with anyone face-to-face, and all the communication you do with clients is going to be in writing.

Being a freelance writer is extremely flexible, and it’s something you can do working from home in your pajamas! If you enjoy writing but don’t want to start your own blog and would rather work with a variety of clients writing about different topics, then becoming a freelance writer is a great option for you.

Freelance writers can earn quite a bit of money (especially if you specialize in a certain niche like personal finance or health) and it’s something that you can easily do part-time or make into your full-time job.

Top Side Hustles for Introverts

This post showed you some of the best side hustles for introverts!

I have tried quite all of these myself, but I have to say my favorite is blogging.

After starting my blog as a college student to earn some extra money on the side, I was able to turn it into my full-time career and quit my day job.
